David brings over two decades of specialized expertise in government contracting accounting, financial operations, and strategic business growth. With a proven track record of building, scaling, and successfully exiting companies in the defense and technology sectors, including two major M&A transactions totaling hundreds of millions in value, he provides clients with battle-tested insights into creating sustainable, compliant, and highly valuable businesses.

As Chief Financial Officer and founding member of an aerospace and defense company, David guided financial operations from 2012 through a successful exit in 2023 valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Over this decade-plus tenure, he built world-class financial infrastructure, managed complex government programs, and positioned the company for maximum valuation while maintaining rigorous DCAA compliance and operational excellence.

Prior to this role, David served as Controller for a science, engineering, and technology company, where he was instrumental in scaling the business from $3M to $60M in revenue before its successful acquisition by a major defense contractor. Managing over 50 simultaneous government programs, he built the financial systems and controls necessary to support rapid growth while ensuring audit-readiness and regulatory compliance.

David's M&A expertise encompasses the complete life cycle of building businesses for successful exit: establishing scalable financial infrastructure, maintaining impeccable DCAA and FAR compliance, developing accurate forecasting and indirect rate models, managing due diligence processes, and structuring deals that maximize value for all stakeholders. He understands that successful exits begin years before the transaction with disciplined financial management and strategic positioning.

Currently serving on multiple boards of directors, David brings both operational CFO experience and strategic governance perspective to his clients. He specializes in helping companies navigate the financial complexities that determine success in the marketplace while building enterprise value.
